I'm busy this week!

Hi folks : I know this is a day early but it's a busy week ! here's the poem for Christmas. :

On the Fritz
By Lawrence R. Berger
The road stretches onward
back through time and into the future.
Spot came first!
with her silent laughter and ready licks to brighten your day.
Next came Scooter and his high wire act
he'd only bark when the wells were successfully drilled.
Next came Lorca and Sam.
a lordly couple that couldn't scare a fly
but eagerly put up with poems and makeover madness
in a town without prostitutes.
Now
we have Fritz the cute!
Who longingly looks for walks
and grandma's cookies
and remains broken
like a genital horse you can settle onto.
Love comes in many sizes.
fortunately they all fit.

Oh the weather outside.

Hi folks: Well this week I'm back to a reasonable posting time. The eastern Half of the country is blanketed in snow and e verybodys digging out for the holidays. Hopefully your staying warm were you are. Here's this weeks poem:

Snow
By Lawrence R. Berger
It's that time of year
when white flakes fall
from the sky and shovels
come out of hiding and the plows hit the road.
People huddle together for warmth
and the homeless head for shelters.
Burning trash cans dot the landscape
and people bring home packeges of all types.
There is a hush in the air.
See you next week.

I just busted a cherry!

Hi folks: Don't adjust your screen! the time stamp is correct , it really is 2:06 Am eastern standard time . I just finished /Listening to De'Joynt on Killradio.org . It's hosted by my first poetry teacher James Maverick and his partner De De. I was the first one to call into their talk show and I did four poems. It was great to hear from James again and He said everyone in LA misses me. The show is based in Los Angles California but goes out over the Internet to the world. The time difference was a struggle but I'm still wide awake and very excited. Here's this weeks poem :

Cherry bustin
By Lawrence R. Berger
There's nothing like an old friend
to make you feel safe
Words travel far when pushed forth
Sometimes sleep is a bad thing.
Love concurs all even time.
See you next week.

Brrrrrrrrrr 2

Hi folks: Well I hope you're all warm and snuggle where you are. It's freaking cold by me! I hope you had a great thanksgiving and ate lots of turkey. Enjoy the rest of the holidays too. Here's this weeks poem :

The rent is to damned high!
By Lawrence R. Berger
The toy stores celebrate
the holidays differently
from the rest of us.
They stay open and tempt
children's imaginations
and guilt the parents
into spending more than they can afford .
Then they have to struggle to put food on the table
or pay the rent . Only in America.
see you next week!
