Special note: Alan told me that he had trouble with the link to My Multi-million Dollar Poetry Seminar Facebook event listing in the last post. Clearly proving he had in fact read the post and qualifying him to be listed in this one! I'm not sure why he had trouble but the event is still happening and as far as I know the link is still live. Here's it is again and please let me know if you have any further difficulties! ( Alan that means YOU TOO!) http://www.facebook.com/events/422532131150147/

The Blue Bird Reading at Avenue 50 Studio Featuring : Chiwan Choi,Brendan Constantine,Mandy Kahn
Ryan Nance. with OPEN MIC after the feature. 2 minutes max. SIGN UP begins at 1:45! Brendan is a former California Poet Laurette Nominee and a dear friend so you may think me biased for putting it this way, and of course you may feel free to do so! However, the fact remains that the year he was nominated it came down to just two California poets : Philip Levine and Him! Based on the this I've come to the conclusion that had he been up against any other California poet ( including : Lawrence Ferlinghetti, S.A. Griffin, Wanda Coleman, or anyone else.) He clearly WOULD HAVE WON THE TITLE BY A LANDSLIDE! But as I said , he is a dear friend and you might consider me biased because of that. SO DON'T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT! CLICK ON THE LINK , GET THE DETAILS AND SEE I'M RIGHT FOR YOURSELF!
4. Peter's Picks:One of the popular features of our exhibits is "Peter's Picks". For most of our shows, Peter Marr, local photographer and often judge of photography competitions, makes selections of his favorite photographs exhibited by the featured and guest photographers. We are pleased that the next show will be a selection of Peter's and Gallery picks from our shows in 2011, a retrospection of some of the favorite work from the 13 exhibits of that year. We are pleased that Peter will also exhibit his specialty - exceptional bird photography. 36 photographers answered the call to return with their selected photographs for this retrospective.
