It's that time again !

Hi folks! Happy Simcha's Torah! Here's this weeks poem

Happy Dancing
By Lawrence R. Berger
Life is too short not to enjoy it!
Sometimes we forget that and it gets us into trouble.
But the sun still shines , the rain still pours , snow still
has to be shoveled. Life can be really good sometimes
so enjoy!
see you next week!

Great goga moga ! It's allmost my birthday !

Hi folks : Well September's almost over . The new year has come . I can't beilive I'll be 44 next month. It seems I learned to talk just yesterday. Here's this week's poem :

Marking Time
By Lawrence R. Berger
The clock ticks ever onward
the motion is slow but relentless.
Year by year
life ebbs slowly through you fingers
you try and catch a moment .
Something to hold on to so you cam believe
you made a difference . But the clock moves on
and on . Never stooping never changing
as we grow old and life passes us by
see you next week!

Happy Jewish new year!

HI FOLKS:

Well it's September again and the high holiday's are here. Happy new year to those of you who celebrate the holiday. May the days of this season be happy ones. Here's this weeks poem :

Trumpets blast !
By Lawrence R. Berger
The new year begins
with a shofar blast
drowning out the worries of the past
to be inscribed in the book of life
Is the goal of those of the stripe
to pray for blessing in the coming year
and to be around those we hold dear.
Time to join friends and family
and become one in the community
so have no fear and have a happy new year!

Happy labor day! special post!

Hi folks : Happy Labor day! This is a special post in honor of the holiday and because I got a challenge to do a rhyming poem by one of the reader's of this blog . So here's the special holiday rhyming poem :

Happy Labor Day!
by Lawrence R. Berger
To all who struggle
and toil in amongst the rubble
let the dust fall off your back
and lay down that heavy sack
for you have truly earned the rest
with which we have been blessed.
The time has come nigh
for you to rest and pacify
your aching wounds
from summer work
I only wish you the best
on this your well earned day of rest
for down your burdens you will lay
have a happy labor day!

Welcome to fall!

Hi folks: It's harvest season! all the fruits and vegetables are cheap and fresh! Here's this weeks poem:

Perfect pear picking weather
By Lawrence R. Berger
The sun is warm out today.
and the tree is ready!
There is much fruit on it
and it is perfectly ripe.
I go early in the morning
before it hits 90 in the shade
and get what I can from the tree.
There is plenty more for another
day. This year we've harvested more
pears than ever before and there is still more on the tree !
I guess it's like life, the more you get done the ,more you have yet to do!
see you next week!
