DAYS LOST

Days lost
in the scarcity of love
pass through,
without a sign

Days withered
in the scarcity of love,
a life
transformed

Days forgotten
in the scarcity of love
cold ashes
beneath the hot sun

Days becoming
weeks becoming
months becoming
years of?

transformed and altered
in the scarcity of love...
what beast arises
from the ashes?
