June Busting

Hi folks : Here's what's up this time:

1.  Rhapsodomancy Announces the Writers Reading Sunday, June 3, 2012

Doors open at 7:00pm - Reading begins at 7:30pm

$3 suggested donation at door. There will be a cash bar.

2. Community Art & Craft plus Garage Sale on Sunday, June 10 from 10am-3pm in Brockport campus' Tuttle North Ice Arena. 350 New Campus Drive College at Brockport Brockport, NY 14420. I'll be there selling copies of Instant Poetry (Just add words!) so stop on by. If you can't  make it the info for buying the book is at the bottom of this post. 

3. Transforming Media: A Weekend of Education, Mobilization, and Networking
Public Event · By Rochester Indymedia

Rochester Indymedia is hosting a regional convergence for independent media makers, grassroots activists, and community members. June 2012 completes Rochester Indymedia's first decade as an organization and to celebrate we're hosting a conference that you won't want to miss. The weekend will facilitate new directions for peoples’ media as well as facilitate collaborations between media makers and activist groups. You will walk away with a better understanding of the media landscape, practical skills for media creation, and new relationships to build on.

When you register, please consider donating a $10-$35 sliding scale donation to help us pay for food and other supplies and materials for the conference. Waivers will be available.

Special guests include: Mike Burke (DemocracyNow! producer), Yusef Shakur (Detroit community activist, former prisoner, DeeDee Halleck (Media activist and co-founder of Paper Tiger TV), The Stimulator ("It's The End of The World As We Know It and I Feel Fine", Mara Ahmed (local independent film maker), Branda Miller & Steve Pierce from The Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy, NY (, Amy Dalton (Philadelphia & US Indymedia, Elizabeth Press (Streetfilms, and all the supporters and members of Rochester Indymedia.

Have built more American Legends
than Disney and Doc Seuss combined !

but Fonzie left the Falcons 
and Joined his sons in the Hamptons for a few
episodes  before they sent him up for tax evasion .

The Son's of Anarchy 
have left Charming again till at least next season

even today
the steel horse  brings fantasies to mind.

I see that you like my Saltian idea of posting revised poems online for people's comments so people see the before and after. Good for you. I think things like this help poets a lot. Good post Lawrence. And I like the fact that you've posted an even that's closer to my neighborhood than yours. ;-) I enjoy reading "poetic conversations."

I like your poem. The only word I would omit is "with" after "join."
