Hanging at the airport
By Lawrence R. Berger
It's raining now as we Rush from the parking lot
suitcases in tow . we check out flight with the Air trans employee
and we have to pay $75.oo for our checked bags .
we run like we're being chased by wolves after
we barely make it through security towards the gate
we make the plane and Bring Bring . the alarm clock goes of to remind me its Thursday and there is still one more day to go.
Let you know how the trip pans out in next weeks blog. see you then.

Summer time blues.

Hi folks : well this week I went to a tombstone unveiling for my favorite aunt . It was bitter sweet but at least it didn't rain ! Afterwards we all gathered at Friendly for lunch and chatting . I came within a whisker of being assigned to the kids table but I managed to keep my seat. Here's this weeks poem:
memories
By Lawrence R. Berger
Time passes as it must
and along the way we lose
touch with people we love .
Ash to ash and dust to dust
and all that other crap
leads up to a life
lived till the end
I'll miss you.
see you next week.

Happy wednsday folks!

Hi folks : Been busy getting ready for the next wedding . It's in two weeks. oh well at least its not mine but a relatives. Not that I'm not interested in getting married myself , just that it's not happening in two weeks. Here's this weeks poem :

Anticipation
By Lawrence R. Berger
Clouds roll across the sky
day turns into night
and you wake one morning
and realize you haven't done a thing with your life.
Sometimes life is good
the cherry's are ripe
for the picking and
the sun shines
clouds roll across the sky
maybe its just the waiting
that makes it hard.

Sorry folks!

I'm back! sorry I missed last week but I'm here now! here's this weeks poem :

Stuff Happens 3
By Lawrence R. Berger
We leave Kansas city smooth as silk
but get hit between the eyes with
a three hour delay in Atlanta on our way
home .
What to do?
we decided to eat before we left Kansas
so we end up just watching kids play hackysack
by the phones. I wonder if the kids even knew what they were for.
Poppy gives his hydrogen peroxide speech for the millionth time
and the time moves on. we're asleep in our chairs when we hear the overhead
"now boarding flight 2210 to Rochester"
we get on the plane and
I have a coke .
we land and run to baggage claim and miracle of miracles our luggage comes off the rack ! we get home about 3:30 am exhausted but happy to sleep.
see you next week.

Bungee Jumping
By Lawrence R. Berger
From the tops of cliffs
they rocket
From the tops of bridges
they swoop down to enjoy
the rush.
Maybe life is best described by bungee jumping
no matter how far you fall there's always the rebound!
see you next week!

help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been having computor trouble this week. But at least I can post this blog
so here's this weeks poem:

Help!
By Lawrence R. Berger
Life by the sea is over for now
I have not been able to work my way back .
the weather grows colder each day
and it's supposed to be summer already!
Snow in may is not a good sign
but at least its not six feet high!
So may your credit card not be maxed out
and always carry a shovel.

maybe this week is better!

Hi folks. sorry I'm a little late with this weeks blog but my printer died yesterday and I had to hold the funeral. Anyway I took last weeks poem to a workshop and got some advice to make changes. let me know what you think .

A- Maying
By Lawrence R. Berger
Flowers bloom in their natural state
and people begin to shed their winter coats
trees bud and fill the air with their fragrance.
Who would have thought that life goes on so easily ?
It was not always so.
In years past the first of may has been dreary
and drenched in rain .
so enjoy the sun !
let the children frolic as they might
till winter comes again and we sit by the fire
entwined in each others arms letting the snow take care of itself.
see you next week.
