Dear Rochester Poets Members & Friends, Join us on Sunday, August 21, for a reading and book signing by poet MARK POVINELLI, followed by our usual open mic. , Mark Povinelli was born in Buffalo and grew up in Louisiana. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Houston and his Masters degree form Syracuse University. He's the author of two books of poetry, "Hunting for Box Turtles" and "Disconnections" (this fall). He's also the author of the book "Gram Water, an exploration of image as verse. Mark was a founding member of the art collective F.A.S.T. (Free Art Society Trend), and an artist-in-residence at Syracuse University in 2006. He's the father of three children and has lived in the central New York area since 1998. The reading is FREE, and refreshments and muchies will be served.
